Description
This one-hour continuing education course provides Vermont notaries with practical instruction regarding the performance of notarial acts on electronic records and for remotely located individuals. The course examines Vermont’s Special Endorsement requirements, electronic records and signatures, tamper-evident technology, communication technology, identity proofing, remote appearance, audiovisual recording requirements, notarial certificates, record security, and the responsibilities of a Vermont notary when performing electronic and remote notarial acts.
The course is designed to satisfy the additional continuing education requirement applicable to renewal of a Vermont Notary Public Special Endorsement, subject to approval by the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation.
This is an online asynchronous course. Users will complete the course at their own pace. Once completed the certificate will become immediately available for download and print.
