Since 2003, Hamp has advocated for the implementation of a single, mandatory national measurement standard for real estate. This leaves both home buyers and sellers vulnerable, as the accuracy of their home’s size (and value) is dependent on who is determining it. In today’s price-per-square-foot market, the importance of accurate square footage has never been greater.
